how to play globe guesser

you start somewhere on earth, standing in a street view picture. drag to look around and click the arrows on the road to walk. look for clues: which side people drive on, the language on the signs, the plants, the road lines, the number plates.

when you think you know, open the map in the corner, click where you think you are and press guess (or space). the closer your pin, the more points: up to 5000 a round, falling off fast the further away you are.

solo plays 5 places on the map you pick, with or without a time limit. the daily challenge is the same 5 places for everyone each day, 2 minutes a round, one go, with today's leaderboard.

questions

can i play with friends?
yes. make a room and send the link, up to 8 players. party mode: everyone gets the same places and the most points wins. duels: everyone starts on 6000 health and each round the best guess is safe while everyone else loses the gap in points, with the damage going up as the rounds go on.
what does no move, pan or zoom mean?
a harder setting: the picture is frozen. you can't walk, turn or zoom, so all you have is the first view.
where do the pictures come from?
Google street view, shown through Google's own embedded viewer. every place is a spot on a public road that Google's car has driven.
