how to play tile slider

the eight numbered tiles are scrambled in a 3x3 frame with one gap. slide tiles into the gap until they read 1 to 8 in order with the gap at the end. click a tile next to the gap, or use the arrow keys.

everyone gets the same scramble each day. the fewer moves you take, the better.

is every scramble solvable?

yes. the scramble is made by sliding tiles away from the solved position, so it can always be slid back.
