how to play five letters

guess the secret five letter word in six tries. every guess has to be a real word. after each guess the tiles change colour: green means the letter is in the word and in the right spot, yellow means it's in the word but somewhere else, grey means it isn't in the word at all.

there is one word a day, the same for everyone, and you get one go at it. the fewer guesses you need, the better your score on today's board.

can letters repeat?

yes. a letter only shows yellow as many times as it is really in the word.

can i share my result?

yes, the share button copies your grid of coloured squares without the letters, so it gives nothing away.
