how it works: 8 parts of the time machine are somewhere in the woods, each at a landmark in a pool of lamplight, each with a blinking red light. the lamp goes out when you take its part. something big came through, and every part you pick up brings it closer. it turns up behind you, always looking at you. if you see it, switch off your torch and get away: keep your light on it and it charges. torch on but pointing elsewhere, it follows faster than you can walk (not faster than you can run). find all 8, then get to the flashing light on the radio mast.
